The basis of Informark's sell-in service is the reporting group. This is a group
of companies within a given industry who agree to supply their confidential sales
data to Informark on a monthly basis. In return, only those companies receive the
output reporting, which contains market sizing and market share information.
A unique feature of Informark's methodology is that the reporting group maintains
a high level of control over key aspects of the reporting including:
- the content of the reports, including what model features are reported on
- the allowable level of transparency in the reporting
- who, outside of the reporting group, can gain access to the reporting
