Market Monitoring

Informark's sell-in reporting service measures the volume of product which flows from a pre-defined group of Manufacturer and Supplier companies into the supply chain. The flow of product and information is shown in the diagram below.
The basis of Informark's sell-in service is the reporting group. This is a group of companies within a given industry who agree to supply their confidential sales data to Informark on a monthly basis. In return, only those companies receive the output reporting, which contains market sizing and market share information.
A unique feature of Informark's methodology is that the reporting group maintains a high level of control over key aspects of the reporting including:
  • the content of the reports, including what model features are reported on
  • the allowable level of transparency in the reporting
  • who, outside of the reporting group, can gain access to the reporting
Key business decisions can be made with confidence based on Informark's timely sell-in reporting through:
  • monitoring industry activity across both the retail & non-retail channels
  • tracking the effectiveness of promotional activities
  • gauging market trends to make better-informed product ranging decisions
  • assessing the performance of your sales force
